A small probe microphone is gently placed inside your ear canal.
Sound is first measured naturally near your eardrum, without the hearing aid.
Your hearing aids are then inserted and turned on.
Various sounds at different volumes are played to assess accuracy.
Your audiologist fine-tunes the settings until the amplification is just right.
